IMG_0255 (2)We have recently welcomed Bayley & Sage into our family at The Shed. A wonderful London Deli market where they have everything from high-end flowers, fresh meat and a bakery. Alongside these they now have our tea’s on the shelves too!

The buyers of Bayley & Sage have been hunting New Covent Garden market in the early hours for years, selecting the best fresh produce he can get his hands on, and taking delivery of special products shipped in just for us from the famous fruit and veg markets in Milan, and Rungis just outside Paris..

..With peppers that look nothing like the sort that lurk on supermarket shelves to the finest Ventoux cherries as soon as they’re available, we always have something a little different to sit alongside the essentials, and it’s all always of the highest quality.

The kitchens are some of the busiest in town, producing freshly made soups, sandwiches and salads as well as sausage rolls, quiches, and their famous scotch eggs and pizzas fresh from our stone-based bread ovens, as well as delicious meals ready for you to take home and pop in the oven.Bakery1-header

Bayley & Sage welcomed its first customers to our Wimbledon Village store in 1997, and now you’ll find us serving five more local London communities in Parsons Green, Turnham Green, Fulham Road, Northcote Road and a brand new store on Parkgate in Battersea – with more to come!

Bayley & Sage products reflect the best of the season whether its fruit, vegetables, meat or cheese or the delicious seasonal dishes prepared in our kitchens. Residents and neighbours have been so supportive of the new store and it was a pleasure to meet them whilst we did tea tastings to celebrate the opening. It is great to see the store buzzing and alive after so many months of hard work and planning.

Please do drop in and see us whilst they are still sparkling new!  This is one of our largest stores and will also function as our training centre and HR department headquarters.

As with all of their large stores, they have arrays of seasonal fruit and vegetables, delicious cakes and pastries, artisan breads, olives, dried fruit and nuts, extensive cheese counter, fine wines and all sorts of even more deliciousness!Cheese5

We hope our teas are welcomed by the lovely visitors of Bayley & Sage and enjoyed as much as they are in other stores!

It’s a place I have fallen in love with and feel I can now give something back to the community, helping to inspire creativity for adults and children of all ages.”

Well Mel, it has certainly worked! Chiswick seem to be loving this creative hub to learn, play and relax with the children or for a relaxing tea / coffee. We are always looking to collaborate with new businesses and community based businesses, so to have both of those ticked off in one is amazing!

Welcome to The Kettle Shed Holly & Co.

unspecified-1After a decade of creating, one of the first small business marketplaces in the world, I’ve now decided to continue my life’s quest, to bring colour to the world of grey. How? By continuing to believe, champion and shine a light on the incredible talent of creative small business owners and Artisans across the world.” – Holly

Screen Shot 2017-04-24 at 11.00.21When Holly came to us to discuss her concept for ‘Holly&Co‘ and whether we would like to be a part of it, we were honoured and extremely excited for what was to come. With a highly inspirational and successful business, Holly fully understands how to work with small businesses and use her platforms to open the doors to new opportunities.

With a focus on creative small business owners and Artisans, Holly has created a beautiful community full of people who support and inspire one another. This community now has a ‘home’ within Holly&Co, a place to eat, drink, learn,  get inspired and celebrate creative small businesses.

One of them, yes you’ve guessed it, is us! A range of The Kettle Shed tea can be found behind the counter ready to brew or purchase to take away,  so pop down and enjoy a cup of tea and learn about the many other inspirational creatives and artisans that fill the shop with their wonderful crafts.

Holly & Co is a unique concept, the first of its kind. Our aim is to shine a light on the remarkable creatives, small business owners and Artisans who are the backbone of our societies.

We champion the butcher, the baker and the letterlight maker, as much as the illustrator, florist and paper bird artist. We’re here to demystify the grey world of business, once and for all – allowing dreams to take flight. We’ll also inspire in equal measure, through curating untold stories and connecting like-minded people.

Whether you’re dreaming about starting a small business, you’re moonlighting every spare minute you get, or you’re already running your own enterprise, we’re here to support you on your journey.‘ – Holly&Co.

As you can tell we are pretty excited about being a part of this incredible journey/community and we’d love you to show your support to Holly and all the other amazing companies that are working together to make this space so unique.

#WeGiveACup to The Shelter Project Hounslow!

#WEGIVEACUP is a huge part of The Kettle Shed‘s ethos, from the first box of tea we sold back in 2014 we have donated tea to homeless shelters across the UK.

We want to share this blog with you for our lovely customers to see where your donations are going through the #WeGivaCup process.

This month we took a batch of breakfast tea over to TSPH, (The Shelter Project Hounslow) to donate to their wonderful programme who provide 14 male guests’ hot food and accommodation from January to March inclusive.  These will mainly be individuals with no recourse to public funds, but a small percentage who have temporary housing needs will also be welcomed on the advice of local referral agencies.

[ Video from TSPH Website ]

INFO regarding the programme

The shelter is held in a different church each night of the week from December to March inclusive, providing emergency accommodation and hot food for up to 14 male guests every night.

Churches in Hounslow across denominations working together to offer the homeless a safe and warm environment in the coldest winter months.

An opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to those who for various reasons have no roof over their heads, and who have suffered the lack of a sense of community, human compassion and kindness.

Supporting local referral agencies working with the homeless to help individual’s access appropriate support and encourage them in their transition back into community and out of homelessness.

Why they need your help

The Project keeps its costs down to a minimum through its use of volunteers.  They do however need just £10,000 per year to continue to run their services and they are seeking YOUR help in order to try and secure their future. The Project absolutely rely on voluntary funding to be able to carry on and without the generosity of their supporters there are people who will remain on the streets of Hounslow, who do not have the support they need to move their lives forward.

What might your contribution fund?

The following donations could help The Project provide:

 • £5 a bag of toiletries – so important if someone has a job interview!

 • £45 an evening meal for a full Shelter of 14 men

 • £850 keeps our entire Project going for another month

 • £1500 helps provide mattresses and bedding for a whole winter

If you are able to make a donation, please contact the Co-ordinator, Beverley Ajayi on:

07804 654 510 or e-mail her at

Alternatively, a cheque made out to ‘The Shelter Project Hounslow’ should be sent to: The Treasurer TSPH, Christ Church Turnham Green, Town Hall Avenue, London W4 5DT.

A bank transfer could also be made to the TSPH Account at HSBC sort code 40-02-13, account number 81731866.
