Let us introduce you to Café Kwae terrace, and her owner Yvette Ansah. Kwae terrace is The Kettle Shed‘s first international wholesale buyer in Africa! Café Kwae is a place where Accra locals and international visitors can cross paths to enjoy a nice cocktail or a delicious meal. From the moment a freshly prepared salad is plated and served, to the first sip you take of a deliciously thick fula milkshake, you feel the love – down the tiniest of details.
About Yvette
Yvette is a down-to-earth person with a welcoming smile and bright eyes. Her friends describe her as “not correct and not normal” Yvette moved back to Ghana in 2011 with two degrees, law and international relations, in hand.
Shortly after she returned she set up Fresh Bites, an Accra based healthy fast food and delivery business. This was only the beginning and a rehearsal for Café Kwae, her main act. Yvette hopes to inspire and help change the current scenario where mostly non-Ghanaians own world-class business in the hospitality industry. Yvette proves with Cafe Kwae that the mix of local tradition and international influences is a world-class cocktail.
At Café Kwae they aim to serve simple, always fresh foods that taste deliciously. They are committed to quality service an a delightfully cozy environment, where you as a customer, feel at home. With chill vibes and strong wifi you have no reason not to stick around to relax or work.

There is no stopping this lady! Yvette has opened her second outlet, Kwae Terrace, also in the Airport Area. This space has a slightly different twist. At Kwae Terrace, guests can dine al fresco or enjoy a drink at the bar above the city lights. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and convivial, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening wide to bring the outdoors in.
Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks, all of their menus are crafted by their expert chefs using the freshest and finest quality ingredients. You will find also find amazing looseleaf teas including the increasingly popular carrot cake iced tea.
