In December, Zoe AKA. The Tea Lady, owner of The Kettle Shed, tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was hand picked as a winner and the lovely Theo Paphitis retweeted this to his 500,000 Twitter followers.  The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has 1700 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK. Small Business Sunday, shortened to the hashtag #SBS on Twitter.

Theo is best known for appearing on Dragons Den on BBC Two. He is Chairman of Ryman Stationery plus Boux Avenue lingerie, Robert Dyas and latest acquisition London Graphic Centre, as well as joint owner of Red Letter Days. They are also profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.

My Bang on Breakfast Tea won 2 stars at the Taste Awards, which makes me very proud as this section is pretty difficult with the amount of entries.

We really do “Give A Cup!”, which is why every time someone buys a box of tea/fuso bags, we donate tea directly to homeless shelters across the UK.”

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.  My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website and Shop #SBS will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish The Kettle Shed every success.”

#SBS Winners now also have access to the exclusive members’ selling platform www.shopsbs.co.uk where hundreds of winners are already selling thousands of products, from unique gifts and bespoke furniture to pet toys or jewellery.  It is another opportunity for the #SBS winners to turn tweets into sales.

We want to use this opportunity to thank all of our followers and stockists for all the support you are giving to small businesses within the UK. We hope that 2017 continues to give us the recognition and support that we have been working hard for!
